Originally this fiesta was a red 1.8S, with the 105BHP engine, but without the XR2i bumpers and skirts.. a very stripped sporty fiesta in basic. Bought the car in May 2002, and as the car had some frontwing damage .. and it was already 3 different shades of red, the choice of a total respray was an easy one. A new colour took me only a split second to choose.. it had to be purple.. The specific tint .. this was a bit harder to choose.. but finally Foird USA (96/97) Deep Violet was choosen.

A FRST engine was dropped in, as well as the FRST recaro interiour. A FRST bodykit was put on the car, and in this form it was on the road for about a year.. Of course there was some tuning and styling, like 15"alloys (Puma 5 spokes) Apex lowering, Magnex exhaust, Boost turned up to 14psi together with a 165 superchip, kent cam and forge actuator.

The engine blew up on me in March 2003, and wasn’t replaced until July 2003 with a totally rebuild engine, T3 turbo, Rebuild ERST S2 gearbox. At this point the under bonnet styling came.. some chrome covers here and there... piece by piece...

A cosworth4x4/rs2000 brake conversion in 2004, together with some 16" Mondeo St24 alloys was another major upgrade. In the autumn of 2004 the fiesta was completely stripped and the result was the current fiesta. A smooth fiesta with skirts smoothed in, bad boy look, Mondeo estate spoiler on top of the RS spoiler, McRallying front lip, tinted windows, delined and debadged car... Interior was changed to a dark grey (<92) interior,

The ice install was ugraded with Polk 6 3/4" compo speakers in phonocar doorpods, JBL amplifier, a Polk 8"DVC subwoofer in a 12 liter enclosure. This enclosure was part of the complete bootbuild, which also houses the battery (Optima) and spare alloy. All this work, except for the engine and turbo rebuild were done within the family...
