Stage2 software for the 1.4TSI Twincharger is designed to make the most of additional airflow and cooling modifications. Whilst stage2 can be setup to suit just an uprated exhaust this little engine suffers from heat even in standard form, as such you will not see the full benefit of the engine/software without using the full hardware list and running an uprated intake and Front Mount Intercooler. There are many other hardware modifications that can be done to maximise the potential of the engine such as uprated boost pipes and Turbo inlet pipe. Stage2 typically gives great gains throughout the midrange.
Due to issues with these engines from the factory Revo recommend running NGK BKR7EIX spark plugs whether you’re running Stage1 or Stage2 software.
TECHNICAL NOTES
– These vehicles can be OBD (On Board Diagnostic) Port Flashed by Revo without the need to remove or open the ECU
– The 1.4TSI Twincharger engine is known to suffer with oil consumption and misfire issues in standard form. If your vehicle has any running issues in standard we have been advised by Revo HQ to refuse to upgrade it.
